Concealed Handgun License

Hi Houston, let me preface this with the fact that I have never owned a gun, shot a gun or even held a gun. I am starting to think about getting a firearm for self defense purposes (home invasions is what is on my mind).

I understand the responsability that comes with owning a firearm and I want to go through whatever proper training/licensing is required and reccomended.

I was hoping that you guys could point me on the right direction as far as gun stores/training centers, etc.
