Commute to TMC Help

Hi,

I will be coming to Houston from out of state to work at the TMC. I am new to the area and wanted some help with apartment/commute information. I prefer one of the "luxury" apartments and am willing to pay up to low 2's for a 1×1 apartment. Some of the areas I am considering are Midtown/Museum District.

I want to minimize my commute time. I have heard that parking at the TMC can be very time consuming, so was looking into the Metrorail. Is this reliable/how most people commute in? Additionally, what is the feasibility of biking/scootering to TMC if I live within a couple miles? How bad is the drive/parking as well?
