Committing to and from San Antonio

Hi guys,

Im looking at potentially moving to Houston for a position at a sister location with my job. I work in aerospace and aviation testing currently in Charlotte, North Carolina, and there is an opportunity to work at the location we have in Houston, Texas. I was originally planning on leaving the company all together due to my school back in San Antonio no longer having online options for some of my core classes. Thus, Monday-wednesday I will have to be in San Antonio living with family as I attend school but I want to keep my job because the field is something I am majoring in. I am conflicted as this would mean I have to get a place in Houston but still commute down to San Antonio. For pay I would be looking at roughly $25/hr and as far as school goes, I will be completing my associates by the end of the year 2023 and am looking to transferring to UTH to further my education. As far as driving 3+ hours I do not mind as over here in North Carolina I constantly make that drive to the Blue Ridge Mountains on the weekends. I would love some opinions, advice, anything to help me figure out if trying to keep this job is worth it. I grew up in San Antonio btw but never been to Houston.

Edit: For more context I would be driving down to San Antonio Sunday and coming back to Houston on Wednesday. My work is also flexible with what hours I want to work(can do 12 hour shifts, 10 hour shifts, 8 hour, etc. and can work any day of the week) to meet my hours.
