Coming to Houston soon and I want to buy some food items not easily available in Norway. Would love some help picking good brands.
I am going to Houston for work in early march and I need to use the fact that you guys have some food items that are difficult to find in Norway. Would love some help in picking the best brands.
For stores I've heard that either HEB or Whole Foods is the place to go?
-
White & Blue corn flour (the one that can be used for tortillas): I bought the white one from King Arthur last time. Are there other ones i should consider?
-
BBQ sauce: Last time i got the recommendations to get the one from Rudy's. It's much better than most stuff we have, but I am still curious if there are other recommendations?
-
Dried / smoked chilies: Last time i got the one's i found at HEB.
-
Spices: I feel a bit overwhelmed here, but I would love to find a good rub that i can use for either chicken or beef and a some ground chilies that i can use for homemade Chorizo.
Is there anything else i should consider trying?
