Coming to Houston for a few weeks from Ottawa for the first time

I’m (19m) from ottawa Canada, it’s -30° cold in the winter I get to go to Houston before going down to Louisiana and Florida for work. Only reason I’m going is because my girlfriends whole family is there, a lot in Baytown.

She tells me it’s much more dangerous there unlike here (gun laws, larger city) not to get into road rage fights and to NOT smoke any weed from there.

Her closest cousins boyfriend died from a fentanyl laced Percocet just in august , he was sixteen and left behind a coming baby. Kinda depressing I know
