Collina’s on Richmond has closed

Mrs. Druid Dude and I went Saturday, as we do most weekends, and it was closed. Sign is gone, furnishings gone. We are heartbroken.

We can't recall when we started eating there. Early 90s, we think. The other locations were never like that one. It had our favorite pizzas. Their pollo pizza was the closest in town to Greek Pizza (RIP) and Theo's (RIP).

We ate on the sidewalk in hot summers and cool winters. They knew us and our order. Their pizza gave us the strength to brave Costco (across the street) on a Saturday afternoon. We often mused about their longevity and constancy. Sweet constancy.
