Cleaning up downtown

I read in Minneapolis that people were cleaning up the messes made – broken glass, trash, etc. – in the mornings after.

If you have been downtown in the light of day today, do you think this would be helpful? I don’t have a big broom to sweep up glass but I can help pick up trash if there is trash laying around.
