CJ Stroud’s progressions part II
I made a controversial post here last week critsizing his progression and defensive reads. I will eat my words, and admit I was off, although I stand by some of my comments based merely on my uneducated unprofessional view. (To be fair I had been drinking, and just traveled from Germany back to Texas). He looked damn good today, the best QB play we've seen in a Texans uniform in a long time. The OL was doing their best to let him get killed, but he was much more composed than last week. He has some off throw, but mostly because he was being hit 1 second after the snap. Anyhow, the dude looked incredible given the circumstances. He definitely got better as the game went, and was throwing dimes towards the end. So even though I was never anti CJ Stroud, I just saw what I thought were concerns, I am now fully on the Stroud train. It's gonna be a weird year for us, but we have some pretty bright spots to look forward to developing. Now, if we could only get the defense and offense to play good at the same time, we might win some games. So to all of you that I seemed to rub the wrong way with last weeks post, don't worry too much about it CJ shut me up with his performance this week.
