Civil (Structural) Engineering Student looking for an internship/Job

I’m a student at University of Houston Downtown and I am looking for a internship around the structural engineering field. I’ve been applying like crazy to businesses and haven’t gotten any call backs, or if they do call back they say that they will call me back but never do. Does anybody know any jobs that will hire for interns around the civil engineering field that will give a student a chance to show how hard their work ethic is? I’m a very hard working person and want to work in a field to utilize the skills that I’ve learned in school!
