Cielito Cafe on Dunlavy

Cielito Cafe is a small converted house on Dunlavy in between Westheimer and W. Gray. There are always massive lines on weekends. I went today for lunch. Went in blind. I didn’t even know the name of the restaurant until I sat down and looked at menu. No wait at noon. The concha bread breakfast sandwich added an incredible sweetness to the classic breakfast sammie that really, really worked but also tasted like diabetes. Delicious. I got the tacos as well because I’m a basic b***h pig and I am having dinner at Tatemo (I have heard it is great but not filling). The tacos were simply perfect. My wife had the not pictured pancakes (just a side order, not the “El Jardin.” That has a great aftertaste and were served with wonderfully warm syrup. ($10.00, 9.50 & 8.00 respectively). Great food. Great prices. Great service. Great ambiance. 9.5/10 for breakfast.
