Chemical plants in the suburbs ?
I know and understand that Houston natives are probably sick of posts like these but If there is anyone out there perhaps in a good mood maybe I can get some advice?? My husband has been wanting to move to Texas for a while now due to rising costs in the tristate. He’s the only one working for now and we have kids. The #1 and only reason for moving is money. He’s gotten some offers (around the same income) for work and we are looking at the suburbs. From the research I’ve done there’s a lot of negatives to moving there…. I was born and raised in nyc but did move to the burbs once I had kids. So my question is this… is Houston THAT bad?? If we don’t get hit with flooding and survive will we get hit with crime? And if I survive that will I have a heat stroke? Also are there chemical plants all over?? Are there any suburbs further away from plants and refineries?? I’ve read such horror stories and rather be safe than sorry. Advice? Thank you so much for reading.
