Check your electric bill!

My bill is showing usage/ charges while our power was out. We lost power early Monday morning and didn’t get power back until Friday evening. I checked my electric bill and it shows that my power went out Monday morning (usage goes to 0), but it also shows that I started using power again Monday evening until Tuesday at midnight. After that it shows 0 usage until Friday evening when power came back on.

This only comes out to about $10 in extra charges but f**k that. I know I’m not the only person that they’re doing this to. Plus if I want to prove to fema that I didn’t have power, my bill won’t reflect that. So now I’m gonna have to call my electricity company tomorrow to see wtf is up.

Anyways y’all, double check that your bill isn’t charging you for energy you didn’t use.

And just bc it probably isn’t gonna go smoothly, who can I call if my electric company refuses to correct the issue? Is there someone else I can call?
