Cheap Extended Stay Motel or Weekly Rental

A friend of a friend is in a bad way after his house burned down last month. He has been staying with an abusive ex because she is the only one who has space to put him up for long term. He has no car and needs to stay near the East End for his job. Does anyone know of any available long term stay motels for less than $250 a week or willing to take in a boarder for a little cash?
