Cheap but decent place to live in downtown houston

Hi I am going to be moving for work to houston in July. I want to get situated by mid June. I don't have any roommates or anything planned yet but am looking for the best places to live within 1500-1600$ per month. As long as I can use light rail to get the center of the town to my office I wouldn't mind up to 30 mins commute. All I want is for it to be a nice and clean place that is at least 1 Bedroom because I dislike studios. But if it's cheap enough maybe a studio in a good place would not be bad.
