Charter vs. Public School?

Sorry for formatting as I’m on mobile. My daughter will be going back into school this year (unfortunately, because Texas.) She was originally going to an HISD school where the magnet program is “ify” or at least that’s been other parents sentiments.

However, she was just accepted into a charter school (KIPP) I have no experience with charter schools. Been to public schools all my life, I even work at one. Should we change the original plan? Does anyone have any experience or advice?
