Chapman deal and bregman’s market.

How do y’all feel about the Chapman deal and how it affects negotiations with bregman moving forward? Bregman has certainly been the better player, and Chapman doesn’t have the kind of stat power bregman does, but honestly it’s been very close (and bregman has batted in better lineups throughout his career, Chapman probably would have put up better numbers in a lineup like the Astros’). Bregman has an obvious edge on offense, but chapman’s defense is better. If Chapman can only get a 3 year $54 million deal, can bregman really go out and get 250 or 300 million for another team?
