Changes for Stages: Managing director to step down; inclusion, engagement and training director added

Mark Folkes joined Stages in 2015 and was named a Houston Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree in 2018. He led the organization through a blockbuster fundraising campaign to facilitate construction of The Gordy, a $35.8 million, three-theater campus that opened in January 2020, and the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, which forced Stages to shutter the building for at least a year and cancel dozens of performances in accordance with social distancing mandates.
