Centerpoint still sucks – 7hr outage yesterday!

Ugh, I have to vent. We had a broke out at 3:45 yesterday where one phase of a transformer failed (voltage dropped to 20-122V and one phase at zero). Basically electronics going haywire and A/C not running while lights worked. I didn’t even know there was an issue at first until the neighbours generator kicked in and I got an email from Centerpoint saying there was an outage with 12 houses affected – so they knew. With no weather events it should have been a quick outage and just send someone out to reset the transformer (no repairs were needed, I watched them fix it). Well, it took 7 hrs. So 100F out and no A/C for 7 hrs and they weren’t even busy.

They suck.
