CC first offer was 5/$160, obviously Correa doesn’t want to hit FA at 32. So, how about a 3 year deal, opt out after 2, for $110-112million? Unless of course Houston wants to go 7+ years with him, and an opt out at the 3rd year for around $260 mil? Crane has always said they don’t go past 5 years…
It’ll be interesting to see if he breaks his rule. I think it’s clear that he doesn’t have the market he thought he would have, and now, staying in a familiar place may be appealing to him as long as the money is in the same ballpark.
