Casual date ideas for west side of Houston?

What all would the people of Houston recommend for something a little more casual like first time meeting to second date or just fun easy dates in general for the west side of Houston? I have been looking at older posts as well but would like to know some more current thoughts. Definitely fine with nerdier side of things and art which I know the city has a lot of but want to cover my bases and not be boring in a city as big as this.
