Caserio drafting Stingley and Green is a major problem

My main issue with Caserio is poor drafting in the first round. Stingley was his injury history and maintaining health. Even when healthy, he has a learning curve from all the missed time in college. All of my family thought the same thing in either drafting an edge rusher or sauce. We gave Stingley a chance, but right now it’s not looking good. I don’t care how good Stingley looked at times, if you’re not available, you’re not an asset to the team. If Sauce continues to be an elite cornerback and also a quality locker room leader, this could be the cornerback version of passing on Justin Jefferson.

The bigger issue is compounding this with Green. If Caserio can’t draft well in the first round, he needs to be fired. We have another year of multiple firsts, and we can’t be good without hitting on half of them. Caserio gets one more year to see how he does, but if he drafts another round of first round rookies that aren’t impactful, he needs to be fired immediately in the off-season.

Personally, I like what he’s done in the later rounds, but bad teams have to hit on their first round picks. Caserio has this year to prove himself in the draft. I’m not even getting into the coaching carousel issue we apparently are potentially having if we fire Lovie Smith and Pep.
