Carriage Services founder and CEO steps down after more than 30 years, new leaders named

Mel Payne co-founded Houston-based death care company Carriage Services in 1991, serving as its CEO since the business’s inception. Now, he’s stepping down as its leader and transitioning to a new role in the company.
