Car towed after Astros game on Monday.

Back ground: I've lived in Houston for 10 years and parking is a joke, after numerous parking tickets and car being towed, I thought I finally figured out how it worked… guess I was wrong.

I parked on the 2100 Blk of McKinney (basically the corner of St. Emanuel/McKinney) on the street and paid the fee for parking the max amount (6pm), which I usually do and have done for YEARS and for ALL the Astros games.

After the game, we decided to have a few drinks, so rather than risk lives, I decided to get an Uber and I would come back in the morning to get my car. Well, at 12:30am, HPD (Not Park Houston) authorized by car to be towed for a "Parking Violation".

Has this happened to anybody else? What is the rule when parking on a public street overnight? I understand you have to pick up your car before traffic starts, but come on.. 12:30am? Can I fight it? I didn't get a ticket either, just towed.
