Car dealership to avoid: HGreg

I want to share my experience with HGreg in Houston so others know what they’re walking into. Before considering them, I came across multiple TikTok videos and a Reddit post with 50+ commenters talking about their bad experiences and the poor quality cars being sold. I still decided to reach out myself just to see if maybe things were exaggerated.

When I brought up these concerns to the salesperson this morning, she brushed everything off and said it was “just a few comments.” That response alone told me everything I needed to know. No effort to reassure me, no transparency, no explanation…just dismissal. Then, after checking their Yelp reviews? Definitely not “a few comments.”

Another huge red flag: they don’t even have a direct number to the dealership. You can’t call the store at all. They route you to an “agent” who can only answer very basic questions and can’t give any real information. For a dealership, that’s extremely shady.

Because of all this, I chose not to buy from them. I’m still looking for a car if you have any recommendations I’ll take them.
