Car accident: Houston/US Newbie

I'm a new Master's student in Houston on an F1 visa. I got my driver's license around a month ago and was renting several cars using the Turo app until I got into an accident. The accident was my fault as I crossed a red light. Although the car was decalred a total loss, it looks like insurance will take care of it.

Currently, my only concern is the ticket and my driving history. When I called the court for my ticket, they told me that I need to pay the ticket and either get defensive driving lessons or hire a laywer to resolve it.

I'm planning on hiring someone at the moment, but was wondering if there is anyone –office/laywer/firm– that would be recommended by this sub. I would also like to check if this would be the best way to deal with the ticket/history.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
