Canadian visiting Houston next week!

Hey everyone!

Work is sending me to Houston from the 11th to the 15th and I'd like a few recommendations on what's happening and where I should go while I'm there. I'm honestly not sure how much free time I'll have to visit but I do want to make the most out of my trip. I'll be staying in Downtown Houston near the George R.Brown convention center.

I'm really into American BBQ but keep in mind that I've only had it in Quebec so I'd love to go to one of those classic spots that locals go to. I wouldnt mind a few spots that you feel are unique and where I could really have something I couldnt get anywhere else.

I also enjoy 420 and I believe it is illegal in your state so do you recommend going a week without it or is it easier than it seems to get my smoke on? Not a big deal but I'd rather ask. Not gonna lie, most of my knowledge of Texas is very much based on stereotypes so I wanna make sure that I dont get my s**t straight before I go!

Feel free to give me some general tips about coming to Houston. Especially if you know Quebec and french canadians!
