Can we start a discussion about banning trolls here on r/houston – or at least restricting posting to those who have a certain Reddit age or karma amount?

Anyone else seeing this these days?

In the past few weeks, there has been a huge uptick in the number of troll accounts, many under one day old, that are aggressive and a pain in the ass in general. Since the schools closed, there has been a huge increase in them, but with the recent Floyd protests there has been LOTS of new trolls, many with no karma at all, or negative karma, and they don't seem to be our usual alt accounts from those that post here all the time.

The mods don't seem to care, and some of these new trolls are really nasty – they will send abusive PM's for hours, even days, for any little comment they don't agree with.

I've noticed that r/houston does not seem to be the only sub having trouble with this, and I'm wondering what the solution might be. Or, has a Reddit just become a troll site?
