Can someone recommend an honest mechanic?

Hello all, just moved back to my home city, after being away for 14 years. My car started making a funny noise, and I am not trying to get robbed at the dealership. Can anyone recommend an honest mechanic on the southeast side, south houston, pasadena, webster, clear lake, league city, dickinson etc. TIA
