Can I ask for some advice regarding unemployment?

So to keep a long story short, yesterday I was called into the office to have a meeting with the president and HR. Essentially they are replacing me with someone "with a college degree and more experience". I was told that I was basically put in a position destined to fail since day one…2 years ago.

The president told me, we dont have any more office positions open but you are welcome to work in the field. With that being said, I am not wanting to be a construction laborer. I am a tech/software driven individual, I've been working in that space for over 7 years at this same company. Basically I feel extremely rug pulled and want to know if this is something I can get unemployment out of, or does them offering me another position negate that? I have never once applied or needed to file for it so I am still very new to it and what constitutes getting it vs not. It's been a really shitty week so any advice would be appreciated.
