Can anyone suggest a bar for New Year’s Day evening

A few things I'm looking for if possible. Music, any is fine really but maybe leaning more rock? Dim lighting. Cocktails. Maybe something horror themed if that's an option. Location doesn't matter but closer to Citycentre, alief, westchase. Friend is coming from out of town and I don't drink that often so I'm not good with the whole bar thing and hoping some of you can help me out and I can research the suggestions. I'm honestly open to anything if you think there is A MUST for an out of towner.
