Can anyone help me ?

So I recently left my old job because the owner would write me hot checks (yes he knew the whole time there wasn’t any money in his account he checked it daily when we ordered parts) and the refused to pay me what he owed me. Now I have pls calling threatening to sue me and hit my credit score untill I pay back the money from cashing my checks and few of my co workers had the same problem. I’ve called and filed a police report but I highly doubt nothing has been done I want justice please help if you can recommend an attorney or anything like that please just let me know please !
