Camden Greenway Crime Incidents (continued)

Summary: Basically every week or two there’s a new break in or stolen vehicle incident, complained, got told a script by several dif managers/staff, they say they won’t install cameras because it’s a privacy violation. Went back and forth, didn’t do anything, and if you look at the previous post you’ll see this is an ongoing frequent situation for years and it’s the #1 source of bad reviews for this company, but still, they continue to do nothing new/wont install cameras.

So I filed a complaint to HAA.

Someone from Camden emailed me, to let me know that they know I filed a complaint, then fed me the same script again. I found it very odd that they wanted to reach out to tell me they knew I complained.

“Crime knows no zip code” “it’s up to everyone in the community to do their part to deter crime” “there’s an uptick in the entire area” “we are not exploring cameras as options right now as it would cause rent increases.”

This week we had 2 more break ins, and several attempted break ins. No one has been caught. No footage of them. Camden is not doing anything new.

Yesterday I had my blinds open for my plants and I turned and someone was legit looking into my apartment and when I looked they ran away. I tried calling the office 3x, got no answer, left a voicemail, posted on the wall, and then got a reply that the sales manager went and walked around my building and found nothing. Great.

Then today they send an email out about a complaint regarding marijuana smoke and that they’ll be inspecting every apartment to find the culprit.

I don’t care that much about that, as it’s not me, but that isn’t a privacy violation? You know, the excuse they gave as to why they can’t put cameras in common/public areas?

This place is so infuriating. Run away. It is not worth the “move in special rate” as your privacy and safety go out the window completely.

Since filing a complaint they even called me and harassed me about my cars inspection sticker being out of date. They said all residents must have up to date inspections so that they don’t get towed. This is in addition to the parking sticker I pay for every month for the complex garage itself.

I’m so frustrated I renewed here and it feels like the staff has zero time for crime/safety concerns, and all the time for bullshit that isn’t serious.
