Calling all amateur performers!

Hey everyone!

So, about ten years ago I had started a performance group with friends and family. The plan was to do parties and events where we would perform as creepy characters with acting, singing, and dancing being involved. I even had planned on writing some full shows to hopefully perform at community theaters. Unfortunately, as things often do, people dropped out and the group desbanded. Well, as they say, nothing is ever truly lost!

I want to try and reignite that passion for performing again! Therefore, I am putting out an open call for performers of any skill level and background that are interested in joining my new performance group, Twisted Tales Theater Company! The plan is the same under a new name.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never performed before, all I need from you is dedication and passion. Right now is the planning and recruiting stage since you-know-what is still an issue, but hopefully soon we can start meeting up regularly to rehearse and start planning the performances.

So, if you or anyone you know is interested in performing please reach out and let me know! You just must be over the age of 18, be located in Houston, be able to dedicate a few days a month, and be willing to learn how to either dance, sing, or act. I also have other positions open such as costume designers, set designers, stage management, musicians, choreographers, and writers.

Please note: this is not a paying gig right now as we’re just starting out. It’s mostly something fun to do in town that I haven’t seen anyone else do as well as help everyone gain some experience and help one another learn! If money does start flowing in past upkeep I will gladly share the profits with the entire group, but from previous experience that could take time.
