Call and response to “The stars at night are big and bright”
My husband is a Texas transplant. He doesn’t believe me that if someone walks out in front of a crowd of Texans and sings “The stars at night are big and bright” that the crowd will clap and reply in unison. To quote him, “I’ve lived in Houston for 20 years, and I’ve never seen it. It’s not a thing.” I’ve done it, and I know he’s wrong. It’s all about the context of WHO is in the crowd.
Please help me prove him wrong. Is this really a thing?
