Cade Stover won me over and should be the starter with Schultz playing bad.

The biggest knock on Stover was he just hadn’t played a lot of tight end but had been picking up the position quickly and was able to become one of the best in all of D1 ball last year. Early in the year he struggled with blocking and the infamous Greenard play from the Vikings game solidified that. What I’m not sure anyone has noticed though, is he already fixed this and is easily the best blocking tight end on the roster and is more sure handed a pass catcher than Dalton is and obviously already has a receiving connection with Stroud. Going to attach some All-22 film of the long run that Joe Mixon had against NE last week. This play does not work at all if Stover doesn’t spring a block on the Nose Tackle on the interior to allow Scruggs and Green to reach the second level and hit the linebackers. Stover completely stuffs the nose tackle of all defensive linemen. The big dude he just completely stops in his tracks and springs a hole for Mixon to bounce to the second level.
