Buying a house? Check the sewer line!!
I just fell out of contact on a house after having the plumbing inspected and finding out the sewer line is collapsing.
The sellers were unwilling to fix it and put the house right back on the market without putting anything in the disclosures.
The repair was estimated at nearly 10% of the selling price of the house – over $30,000.
Buyer beware. There are some very unethical realtors and sellers out there, willing to rip people off for massive amounts of money.
I know of a newer house than that one with a collapsed sewer line. Any house older than Gen Z needs to be checked for this.
