Building a Garage Workshop

Hiya fellow Houstonians! We have plans to build a garage and workshop space in our backyard over the next few months. We already have a concrete company to do the additional driveway and foundation. My partner is a designer and has drawn up plans for the building. The plan is basically 20’ x 30’, left side garage, right side workshop, stairs up to storage, garage door, and walk-in door. Windows are probably a bad idea as we have burglar bars on every window behind our fence due to routine backyard break-ins in the neighborhood since the 90’s. We will also need a secondary electric pole because the new structure would impede the current electric service line/drop pole to the house. I know CenterPoint can take care of this part (supposedly).

We do not have an HOA and live in mid-west Houston. Tuff-Shed quoted $55k with no permit, foundation, electrical, or insulation. We definitely need electrical and insulation so he can put in an AC, and I have dealt with permitting in Houston too much to want to deal with it again.

Does anyone know of a general contractor who does this type of work?
