Bug Identification

Me and a few people I know have been seeing these very tiny, smaller than a lady bug, yellow and black beetle-like insects everywhere we go recently. We’ve been told that if brought home to your pets they will burrow in their mouth. I’ve tried to fact check that but I can’t seem to identify the thing. Has anyone seen this bug yet or know what kind it is? Any information is greatly appreciated, thanks.
