Buckle up for insurance hikes

My car insurance is renewing next month and has jumped up almost 40%.

When I asked the reason they responded:

“There was an increase in uninsured motorist claims in your area (Houston), as well as comprehensive claims, and personal injury protection claims. When the rates of these incidents increase, it effects the costs of those coverages.”

-Car insurance up almost 40%

-Homeowners insurance up about 30%

-HCAD value max out at 10% with homestead

Wish these insurance companies would at least take me out to dinner first…
