Bringing volunteer opportunity Cake4Kids to Houston for 2026

Like the title of the post says, I would love an opportunity to volunteer in our community, and the organization "Cake4Kids" seems like a positive and fun way to reach those that are underprivileged. Ultimately, volunteers help by baking and decorating a cake (usually a birthday cake) for those who do not get a cake typically. There are some pre-requisites, but I feel like Houston could totally come together and participate in this program. According to Foster Village Houston, there are well over 2,000 children in the foster care system. Not only that but the organization helps other people which they state on their website –

"Cake4Kids partners with agencies that support youth (ages 1-24) who are at-risk or underserved, including youth in foster care, group homes, homeless shelters, transitional and low income housing, domestic violence or human trafficking shelters, substance abuse programs, and refugees"

Currently Houston doesn't have a participating ambassador to make this a reality.

I'm hoping someone in the Houston community will see this, and get in contact with someone that can apply as an ambassador (or apply themselves)!

Of course, this is a non-profit and I'm not affiliated with Cake4Kids. I just think it would be cool to bake and make someone's day a bit better as a volunteer. If there already is a service like this in Houston, I would love to hear about it to start volunteering.
