Brine on Houston Roads

Hi everyone,

For those that drove on freeways yesterday, and especially anytime this week while the roads are wet, Houston treated the roads with brine (salt/water) mix. So wash those undercarriages. Don’t let that stuff stay on your car.

Coming from Ohio, that brine will eat your car like acid.

I know that it’s not at the same scale as the Midwest, but be proactive and wash your cars top to bottom including the undercarriage, unless you want metal to turn into swiss cheese.

Edit: This post is meant to be informative. Most Houstonians don’t know what a treated road looks like, but if you have lived in the Midwest you know what those thin white lines on the road are. Spreading awareness is all. Wash your vehicles everyone.
