Boeing exec who quarterbacked legal defenses after 737 Max crashes retires
Longtime Boeing attorney and executive J. Michael Luttig, who’s quarterbacked the company’s legal defenses associated with two deadly 737 Max crashes, will retire on Dec. 31.
Luttig, Boeing’s general counsel until he took over handling of the 737 Max crash victim lawsuits in May 2019, joined Boeing in 2006 after serving 15 years as a judge for the Fourth Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
