So watching the game tonight I noticed something crazy. Yuli has 27 strikeouts in 275 plate appearances. Pretty insane.

I became flooded with kool aid and did some research thinking that had to be the best in the majors.

I was wrong. I came to find out that he’s actually 3rd. In the process of finding that out I came across something truly earth shattering.

Nicky two strikes is in 2nd, okay no surprise there. Who’s in 1st you ask?

None other than Kevin Newman of the Pittsburgh pirates who’s currently slamming his way to a whopping .202 average. He has 16 strikeouts in 248 plate appearances. Like what.

The crazy thing is the Astros are one of two teams who have 2 players in the top 10 of k% (Uncle mike 6th). Shocker. The other team? The gd pirates.

Adam Frazier is 5th with 33k in 273 PA. He’s actually having a solid season but again, wtf.

Point is yuli is having a criminally underrated season so far. He deserves more hype. An assload more.
