Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas hires former Memorial Hermann exec as president

Richardson-based Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, the largest health insurer in the state, has named a veteran health care executive most recently with Cancer Treatment Centers of America as its next president.

James G. “Jim” Springfield will take the helm with the insurance giant beginning April 26, according to a March 25 announcement from parent company Health Care Service Corp.
