Birthday lunch in Montrose?

I'm heading to Houston this friday to take my sister to lunch for her bday. I'm pretty unfamiliar and don't want to make a reservation without confirming somewhere is legit. Looking for somewhere kind of nice (not crazy expensive though) and vegetarian friendly. I was looking at maybe travelers table or driving a bit and going to xochi since ive been there and had a good experience. However any recommendations would be great, especially if they take reservations. tia
