Bicycle recommendations?

Hey ya’ll! So I got into an accident today and I am about to get an estimate next week. With that being said, car repair ETA’s are always unpredictable and can always be long but I am still wanting to be in office for work.

My job is about 3 miles away from me, mostly flat roads, and a one-mile bridge. I don’t plan on using it for other roads just yet.

What’s a decently priced bicycle that would be enjoyable for a beginner (that will use it as transportation for work) and also maybe safe..? Or electric?
