Beware of workshops/cults in Houston

Hello community, in another post I talked about my husband and how we got divorced but I want to talk about how I was almost part of a cult. Maybe this is not the best place but I want to warn the people of Houston about this place and those people. Please forgive me if my English is not good.

After my divorce and my husband's lover affair hurt me, I started going to therapy, I told a friend who told me that her sister was in a workshop that helped her after she separated from her husband.

We just talked about it and on Saturday this week, her sister came to visit me but she was not alone, she came with 2 other people, it seemed strange to me but they told me that they were doing voluntary work and she remembered me.

They told me about a center called : LIFE DESAFIO

They told me to bring a form, pay for the workshop and that it would be at night, they told me all the benefits they had brought to her life and how she was able to surpass her husband.

I don't want to talk too much about the workshop because I think it worked for me to realize about my ex husband but what matters here is that the people behind these workshops are the ones who were creating a cult.

I was talking to other people and they told me that they used to be called Alianza Desafio.

The owners of the workshop were creating a cult of people at their service, you see when they took my information they realized the size of my house and they asked me many times if I was not interested in supporting the workshop to do "on-site sessions", always I told them I couldn't because my youngest son lived with me and he was not interested in these workshops.

They don't take no for an answer, they made my colleagues say that I wasn't helping the center enough, then one of the owners of the place called me to talk to her. When I told her what was happening, she started telling me that if I wasn't willing to help them, that we were there to help each other because I didn't want to give them my house, that the director would be very sad after everything they were doing for me, I was shocked.

I left the place feeling that I was not helping them, then the director called me to tell me that there was no problem with not giving him my house but that I should be aware that many people believed in me and how generous I was but that I did want to help if I could help them. to rent a house but using my name.

I just said that I was going to think about it because I felt bad for not helping them after everything I had experienced with them, so I called a friend who I know her daughter knows how to make reservations for planes and hotels, I thought maybe she could help me. to get a house to rent for what they wanted, I went to see her at her work, I talked to her about what I was looking for, she looked strange at me and said why did I want a house for 10 people if she knew that there were few of us in my family, it was When I told her about the workshop and she told me, you are also part of them.

It was when she told me that she had also gone to those workshops when they were Alianza Desafio. and that, like me, they had helped her a lot but that she left the place and that was when she paused, at that point I told her, tell me what happened. She told me how the man who is now the director of this center used people to get money and things from them, that she had a favorite trainer and since she no longer went to the center, that the "Argentine" man used the good will of the people to get money too. She later realized that the now director had spoken badly about her to her friends and family. She gave him money with the promise of payment but he never paid a cent. When she told me that she told me herself I can't let them hurt you.

We hug each other and cry because these people use these workshops to obtain power, money and control people's lives. They see you at your most vulnerable and use that to manipulate you.

When I confronted them, they all turned against me, I no longer had friends, they were all in this cult. Be careful if you are invited to these workshops and if you are part of these do not be fooled.

This is more for my Latin community since they give these workshops in Spanish but don't let them manipulate you.

They recently told me that the center is closed but that they are still looking for people to do the workshops, take care of the directors of that place.

They create an image that they are the good ones and that there are people who want to hurt them but the reality is that they are not fooled, the woman in the center usually plays the victim and the director uses all his illnesses to cause pain to people, the wife The director may be a victim of these two. They only want money from people and people who serve them. After using you, they turn everyone against you so they don't get suspicious, that's what they did with me.
