Best patio furniture material for Houston

I’m building a patio and looking to purchase some patio furniture next week. This is my first home and I never had to buy outdoor furniture before. I’m overwhelmed with the choice of materials.

Looking for suggestions from Houstonians on what’s the best kind of patio furniture (wicker, wood, metal etc.) for our weather, considering the furniture will be exposed to sun at least few hours daily.
