Best internet service in Conroe

First, let me start by saying I know Conroe is not technically Houston but the /r/conroe subreddit seems kind of dead, hence why I am posting in both.

I am moving out to Conroe in a month and cannot take my AT&T internet service with me, as it is not offered at my new address. My options are Suddenlink and Consolidated Communications.

I am looking to get 1 Gig service and unlimited data (which both advertise). I just want fast and reliable service but have no experience with either of these companies. I honestly just wish AT&T offered internet there because my experience with them has been great.

Which one of these companies is the best? Does anyone have experience with either company?
