Best French Toast in Houston?

My birthday is coming up and I'd like to have brunch this weekend. Last year, I had French toast at Lucille's and I really liked it, so I want to have something similar or better. I'm open to any suggestions in the loop, preferably in the Heights/Montrose/Galleria/Midtown area. I've had French toast from Snooze, First Watch, Barnaby's, and Toasted Yolk (and many other unmemorable places) and didn't care for it since I can make basic French toast at home.
